Registration (on-site)

Registration will begin Sunday 20 September 2009 from 17:00-19:00 accompanied by a welcome drink.

Registration will open each day of the conference at 8:00.

Registration (online)

Early registration by 15 May 2009 (discounted to 250€)
Normal registration by 1 September 2009 (300€)
Late registration after 1 September 2009 (400€)

Registration fees include access to the conference, lunches, conference dinner on San Servolo island, and a copy of the proceedings. The student registration rate is 150€. An accompanying persons registration of 100€ is also available, covering the welcome reception on 21 September and the conference dinner on San Servolo island on 24 September.

Travel to the conference is expected to be self-funded.

Online registration is now closed, but registration on-site is possible.

Venue and local transportation

The conference will be held at the Venice Convention Centre Palazzo del Casinò, located on the island of Lido, facing Venice.

Please note that due to construction, the main entrance of the Palazzo is on the canal (western) side, facing away from the Adriatic Sea.

A conference bus service will run from Lido hotels to the Palazzo del Casinò in the morning before the start of the conference and in the evenings.

Accommodation

Hotel booking is being handled by Venezia Si. The block booking expires 14 September 2009. Please note that if you would like to arrive before 20 September and/or leave after 25 September, you will need to write to mice@veneziasi.it.

The Conference is open to all scientists and science managers with interest in ocean observing systems.

The working language of the conference is English.
